Draining lymphatic massage
Lymphatic drainage, or manual lymphatic drainage, is a gentle massage therapy technique that aims to stimulate the circulation of lymph in the body and thus promote the elimination of waste and toxins.
The technique consists of applying superficial circular pressure to the skin using the fingers and the palms of the hands. These pressures follow the path of the lymphatic vessels and the direction of the circulation of the lymph and thus allow the latter to circulate better in the body.
What is lymphatic massage for?
Lymphatic massage is very useful for treating edema of the face after a facelift, of the stomach after an abdominoplasty, or of the lower limbs following genital surgery. It also helps in recovery following a sprain or fracture.
After the session, the massaged person feels the benefits very quickly: sensations of reduced edema, lighter legs, the person feels well and rested
